Paws & People Too!
Paws & People Too! has been in business since 2001. Owner Theresa Gavin Overbey (at right) is a registered nurse by profession. She decided to start a pet sitting business because it was important for her to be able to set her own schedule.

Theresa and her husband are parents of two young children and she wants to be at home with them. Theresa loves animals and has used pet sitters herself for her little Italian Greyhound, Shaman, and kittens when she is away.

Theresa is a professional and that is reflected in her mission for Paws & People Too! Her passion is serving others and that is reflected in the level of service to all Paws & People Too! clients.

All Paws & People Too! employees are pet certified and CPR certified. For our customers' security, all Paws & People Too! employees have undergone thorough background checks.

Charla Bennet My name is Charla Bennet. I was born and raised in Middletown. I am the mother of a beautiful son named Brayden. At my house, we have a dog, a bearded dragon and a frog! My friends and family have depended on me for pet sitting for many years. I have been with Paws & People Too! for more than a year now and am happy to say that I love my job. I am also a part-time realtor and operate my own cleaning business. I'm also taking classes in behavioral science! Helping and assisting people has always been a passion of mine and I greatly enjoy taking care of your animals and home while you are away.
   
Theresa Bleaky Hello, my name is Theresa Bleaky. I am married and live with my husband in Smyrna. I have two cats, named Misty and Bela. I started working for Paws and People Too in May 2006 after having Paws and People take care of my babies when I went on vacation. Besides working here part time, I have worked for the state for more than 20 years. Before moving to Smyrna 4 ½ years ago, I did pet sitting for friends and family. I enjoy taking care of other pets because it an opportunity to enjoy other types of animals (other than cats) for awhile. Also I am a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan!
   
Shawn Lanouette Hello - my name is Shawn Lanouette. I live in Townsend with my wife, daughter, 2 dogs and a cat. I have worked with children for the past 18 years and was a counselor for the State of Delaware for 9 years. I enjoy watching the Flyers and Eagles and spending time with my family.
   
Hi, my name is Brandi Lettich. I've been working for Paws and People Too for a year now. I live in Middletown with my husband, two children, one cat and nine dogs. You can tell that I love animals! I also love caring for your pets.
   
Sheldon Smith My name is Sheldon Smith and I've worked for Paws and People Too since the summer 2010. I decided to come out of retirement because of my love for animals. I'm a dog walker with Paw & People Too.
   
Eileen Twardowski My name is Eileen Twardowski. I've lived in Middletown for 10 years and I've always had pets of all kinds. I now have 5 cats who allow me to live and serve them. I look forward to caring for your pets. Having taught at St. Mark's High School for ages, I now can give all my care and patience to the care of your animal companions.

We just wanted to thank your groomers for alerting us of a possible ear and gum infection  with our dog Bailey (golden retriever). We scheduled a vet appointment for the next day after her grooming and it was found that she does indeed have both. Luckily, the gum infection was caught in time so she will just need a dose of antibiotics. We appreciate your staff  alerting us to these problems before they got out of hand. Both Bailey and Ruby looked beautiful after their grooming. Thanks again!

Dear Theresa,

I'm writing to say what a GREAT company you have to do business with. After I picked up my dog from the animal shelter you made time in your schedule to give him a much needed bath, and alerted us to some conditions that needed to be checked out by our vet. My schedule was
so tight that day that you offered to bring my dog to me so that I could get him to the vet before the weekend. I don't find that level
of concern about a customer very often with other businesses. Your kindness to our new dog, and me, is very much appreciated.

Hi Theresa- I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the great service we received from Jen and her husband, Barry. The puppies seemed just fine and well adjusted. We had great notes from every visit and it seems like all went well. I was very impressed that Barry left the linens washed and bed changed. The house was spotless. I could not tell anyone had been here -- this was a great treat. I called Jen twice and she spoke with my sister-in-law while we were gone. We were all very impressed with the communications. I just wanted to say thank you for the incredible care Maxine had this weekend. The fact that Brooke was willing to take Maxine into her home to ensure her well being during the storm was exceptional and made our trip perfect. Brooke allowed us to enjoy our trip and not worry about the storm, plowing, or Maxine. Hi Theresa - I just wanted to let you know that once again your company has exceeded our expectations! We know you will take good care of Gracie- and you have been available at a moment's notice. I pass your name on for those reasons alone! But I wanted to tell you that Brooke absolutely went above and beyond for us while we were in Disney. We had a pipe connection burst in the utility room and she handled the situation amazingly well. (Probably better than I would have had I been here!) Hi Theresa - I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the care that Barry took with Harry and Estelle! I have been sooooo busy since getting back from vacation (which was AWESOME!) but I wanted to let you know that I felt completely at ease knowing my babies were in good hands.
